If you want to be able to recognize the counterfeit, study the real thing. We can’t see or recognize the counterfeit when we study the counterfeit. The only way to see clearly what is not Truth, is to study the pure Truth.
We can eat apples every day and not taste any pesticides. If you fast from apples (with pesticides) and eat nothing but organic fruit (without poisons), once you go back to the impure apples, you will clearly taste the chemicals like never before, and you will spit out the apple in disgust.
The counterfeit money looks a lot like the real thing. The apple with pesticides looks the same as the organic, pure apple. It is deceiving.
People who are trained in recognizing counterfeit money, have spent years looking at the real thing. That is why they can EASILY see what is false or counterfeit.
We see there is Christ, and then there are counterfeits. There are annointings from the Holy Spirit, and then there are counterfeits. Counterfeits are everywhere in the spiritual and physical world. That is why Jesus warned us ahead of time.
If we study the Truth of God’s Word, in the Bible, we will see more clearly and be highly sensitive to what is false. If we study what is false (or fail to study what is true) we will never recognize Truth for Truth or false from false, but will always be confused and never come to a knowledge of the Truth. If we say we have read the Bible once a long time ago, but fail to read it continually, we will soon forget the Truth and be open to anything.
Encouraging you to study the Truth daily, even for 5 minutes a day. You can start in Mark if you want (or Matthew, Mark or John). I like the King James Version.
We see counterfeits in pulpits across America in “Christian” churches, and we see counterfeits everywhere.
Jesus is the Truth, and His Words are Truth.
