These days, we must be extra discerning who we are “following”. Who are you learning from?
“That we from now on be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, by which they lie in wait to deceive…” Ephesians 4:14
Are you a wise or foolish virgin (Matthew 25)? The mark of a mature Christian is to not be tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, to not be deceived by the sleight of men, by their cunning craftiness.
Deception most always comes in a package of light (2 Cor. 11:14). Be careful!
“For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” Matthew 24:5
Matthew 24:5 makes it clear that deceptive teachings would even come from those who look good, those who teach about Jesus (Acts 20:30 further illustrates this point). There are even discernment ministries out there that are teaching very unbiblical things that sound good!
Who are you following on Facebook? Twitter? Is it any wonder that the Lord used the word “Follow” thousands of years ago?
“Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to deceitful spirits, and doctrines of demons…” 1 Tim. 4:1
Have a blessed day…
